Antioxidant and skin brightening peptide. Master antioxidant tripeptide with potent free radical scavenging, melanin inhibition, and detoxification properties for brightening and protective skincare.
Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide compound formed by the condensation of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine through peptide bonds, with CAS number 70-18-8 and molecular formula C₁₀H₁₇N₃O₆S. Its chemical name is γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine. The molecule contains an active sulfhydryl group (-SH) that is susceptible to oxidative dehydrogenation. Two molecules of reduced glutathione (GSH) can be dehydrogenated to form one molecule of oxidized glutathione (GSSG)
